 This is more than likely a late registered 1998. I don't believe any of the pre face lift are actually 1999 models. I hope to be able to confirm this with the VIN later.

I have wondered about the MYs on these, because I have seen references in the past to the facelift being 2000 MY which I didn't trust. The facelifts were introduced around Feb/March so it's possible that they started production after any Christmas shutdown, with the 98MY running until December but cars still being the current model in Jan and Feb 99.

 S206ANV coming up as a 1999 and having a low sequence number might answer your question at least. It was a press car used for the launch of the facelift.
