As nobody has had a punt on this, I shall.

There is no doubt that it is an RT of some sort, and on numbers it should be AEC Regent III, class RT, but I cannot convince myself that it isn't a Leyland chassis.

I agree with Johnfromstaffs there were Leyland versions called RTLs (and RTWs but they were green) is the position of the fuel filler a clue? As left hand side is typically AEC but presumably the Leyland ones would have been built to standard specification :-)

Not easy to prove from this screencap whether it's an AEC RT - it could at that time be a Leyland RTL or Leyland RTW(RTWs were red, but initially banned from Central London because of their width.). The biggest clue from this angle is the route number, and that's blurred here.
It's in a Central London location, so I checked out the other screencaps that feature this bus, in particular /vehicle_899513-Ford-Consul-204E-1959.html .......now, taking my cue from http://www.londonbuses.co.uk/ , if you think that's route 22, then during 1963/4 it was operated by RTWs (not replaced by RTLs until 1966..) If you think that's route 23, then that route was shared between RTs and RMs (this is NOT an RM!) until March 1964, when it went all-RM.
Me, I think it's on route 23, which makes it an RT, but I'm open to contradiction

I do confirm that the bus seen in the picture /vehicle_899513-Ford-Consul-204E-1959.html is actually the same, therefore it's the line 23, so an AEC RT.

Maybe some others in this row ?

They're AEC Routemasters :-)
