Half the job as usual.

Bentley S-series with Bentley Motors Standard Steel saloon coachwork, by Pressed Steel of Cowley, finished at Crewe.

There are no distinguishing features visible to say which generation this car is. The headlights will be US spec, and the bumper over riders did not change between S1 and S2.

@johnfromstaffs - I believe there was a previous discussion regarding this and RR earlier. It seems to be the consensus that you are the only one who seems to care whether or not it is a Standard Steel Saloon. The amount of vehicles produced with another body was so miniscule compared to the total produced.,,.

But to make you happy and keep your stiff British upper lip - Bentley S1 or S2 Standard Steel Saloon. Now either go to the pub and have a Guinness (or your beverage of choice) or settle down with a meal of fish n chips. Cheerio

RHD so arrived in US privately, not a official import.

So you are an advocate of "job half done" then.

FYI I have just returned by 'bus from the pub, having consumed two pints of Everard's Tiger Bitter, a scotch egg, and some home made pickle.

FYI furthermore, there were approximately 300 coachbuilt and long wheelbase series1 cars, 20 series 2 cars and 113 Series 3 cars, and as long as you provide half complete identifications from your limited knowledge I shall follow up and correct wherever I am able.

I am tempted to add "so go figure", but I understand that it might be considered rude, so I shan't.

Your consumption of liquids and solids sounds quite tasty. I shall now climb in my (classic) TARDIS and return to the Golden Age of the BBC!! (Thunderbirds Go)
