Wideside bed. As GMT400 model, it still belongs to the C/K-Series truck line indeed. But how should we write this K? K-Sierra? :D

The 3rd stop lamp is most likely an after-market addition, as it became mandatory in Europe only from 1998 onwards. And I assume that 1994+ trucks sold in Germany kept the US version of that light.

this is not a 3rd stop light but just a light to illuminate the bed ( not red ) . probably one of the "few " options those trucks have in the list . As for the name.... how do we list the 4X4 Sierra ? ( just wondering why Chevy guys were too lazy to give their counterpart a name.. :D )

this is the light i'm thinking of http://momentcar.com/images/gmc-1500-1988-7.jpg

I thought about a CHMSL because it as been often mounted that way in Europe a few years before it was mandatory. But it could indeed be an extra lamp too.

About the name: as usual, GMC made a huge mess and we have to handle it. From what I have read and seen (but it would be good to check it a bit more):
• 1988-93 brochures use alternatively K-1500 to K-3500, 4WD and 4x4 (1989, 1991) when referring to these models. And sometime K-Something and 4WD are used in the same tables;
• 1994+ documents apparently refer to 4WD only.

In fact, very few GMC trucks have a complement related to this 4WD drivetrain in the IMCDb, for now: 15 4x4 and only one 4WD. Same rarity concerning the 1988+ K-Something as chassis code: only one K-Series, 2 K-1500, 3 K-2500 and no K-3500. 22 trucks, including some non-Sierra models, out of 515 Sierras (plus the undated ones)...

So what about just having this info in the comment and leaving the complement blank about this matter? :D

Baube 1991 seem to have their own badges. Compare. Edit: No they don't; it was moved.

1990: http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/38475060-6.html
1991: http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/84257013-14.html - Edit the sierra badge was moved. It should be above EFI.
1992: http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/27993236-3.html - 1992-1997 have GMC 'Truck' badges.

Again I could be wrong but I believe this is also mentioned on here: https://www.gmt400.com/threads/gmt400-history.766/
Here is the excerpt from the thread:
88-91: Large GMC letters on the center of the tailgate, tailgate width chrome bar was also used to mount the GMC letters to the back of the tailgate.
92-97: GMCTruck in the lower right corner of the tailgate with chrome letters and charcoal surround. Sierra was badged on the lower left corner of the tailgate, also with chrome letters and a charcoal surround.
98-00: GMC in lower right corner of tailgate with chrome letters and charcoal surround. Sierra badged on lower left corner of tailgate, again, with chrome letters and charcoal surround.
88-96: C-Pillar badge is square.
97-00: C-Pillar badge is square with rounded edges.
