Following the KB series at the end of the 70', dependind the weight, it can be a GC, GF and depending the motor it can be a 191 ( 190 HP ) or 231 ( 230 turbo HP ).The vehicule in front is the older ( horizontal lines on the grill hood ) In the same time , Saviem has the H series with rectangular frontlight and MAN engine In 1981, when Saviem and Berliet became RVI ( Renault Véhicules Industriels )H series goes out of band. The new serie became G serie : G190, G230, G260, ... |

But as it is rather impossible to say which one exactly it is (?) maybe we can name it G-Series too (even if it is not Renault yet)? |

If we name it only G, it will be wrong, because it' s the following series : G Renault . With Berliet , it was G but always with an other letter : C, F, R . This second letter is for the weight ( 11 to 19 tons )For the moment, I think GF 231, stay tuned ... |

I just have seen the second picture, and I can now say it' s a 231 because under the name Berliet is a red logo "turbo" . Now between GF ( 17t5/32t with trailer ) and GR (19t/38t with trailer )for the moment I don't now, but may be GF because cars were lighter than now !
