the RA64 code apparently means a 2,366 cc engine. Was it the only one available in the USA? |

It is also a hatchback/liftback... Elmer to answer your motor question power was provided by a 2.4 L 22R or 22R-E engine in all North American models, while smaller engines were used in other countries. The 2.4 L became the biggest 4-cylinder engine offered in any Celica ever. Other engines were the 1.6-liter 4A, 1.6-liter 2T, 1.8-liter 3T, 1.8-liter 4T, 1.8-liter 1S, 2.0-liter 2S, 2.0-liter 18R-G and 2.0-liter 21R, depending on the particular market. 2.4 litre was in USA models whatever that translates into ccs... |

All numbers are here in metric system units: 2.4 litres = 2.4 dm³ = 2,400 cm³ / "cc" (cubic centimeters). As usual "bigger is better and easier", so 2,366 has been rounded to 2,400 ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-09-14 05:19:04 |
