This is a sedan and NOT a hatchback! 99. The 90 had different tail lights and rear panel if I remember well, making it more similar to the 900 sedan. Or am I wrong ? -- Last edit: 2015-08-19 08:17:26 |

I checked and now I can confirm about the rear end: 99 and not 90. |

That's a 1980 model or newer. In 1977 Saab 99 got big taillights, they were thinner on earlier models. The rear bumper has a different decor from 1977 onwards. Also the seats were changed in 1980 for the 900 ones which have filled headrests. The plastic strips on the side were changed to the same height as the bumpers in -79 or -80 as well. |

Hi again, I've been thinking about this for a while and I can say for sure it's a 1983 or 1984 based on the wheels and rear bumper. Those wheels came with the 1982 model year. The lack of a trim piece around the ventilation grille on the rear quarterpanel means it's most likely a later model than 1982. 1983 and 1984 models have no visual differences from this angle, but it's definitely either a 1983 or 1984 model. Sorry for the mixup, I've had many sleepless nights thinking about it. |
