It's a Volvo GL Link to "www.volvotips.com" http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/1/3357/1641/8390820003_large.jpg , which was the upmarket version of the 240-series sold in the U.S. Other versions were Volvo DL (entry) and Volvo GLE (V6 engine). Volvo didn't use the "240" in their model names in the U.S. from 1980 until mid 80's. The above car is later than 1980 but younger 1983 (when the got different bumpers).
