Do these truck-style roof lights mean this is a heavy-duty C-series ? Like a C2500 or C3500 ? Or is it just some optional stuff for any C/K trucks ? |

½-ton C-10 / C-1500 to 1-ton C-30 / C-3500 trucks are light-duty models. The 1½-ton C-40 / C-4500 and above have always had a different cab, whatever the generation of C-Series is concerned (except for the 1960-63 C-40). And if I'm not mistaken, there was no longer medium-duty models in the Chevrolet truck line since 1988 (and no more heavy-duty Chevrolet trucks since 1980). But you're right about the roof lights: they were used on "heavier" models (¾-ton C-20 / C-2500 and C-30 / C-3500) indeed, but normally not on pickup models. This could indicate here a 1991+ C-3500 HD. As 1988+ model, this one should have the GMT400 factory code. But this code seems not to be really used in the IMCDb (and should apparently not be given to the Suburban, which has been done here). -- Last edit: 2015-05-31 01:21:10 |

Seems that those roof lights were added by the owner. See how it spaced out compare the factory version: /vehicle_25556-Chevrolet-C-3500-1990.html With this wheel here, I am thinking of C/K-1500 weight class ![]() |
