I should have seen that it was a Simca, but I was really tired and just made screenshots of vehicles without a particular effort of identification, for this "movie". Shame on me 1501 only rear bumper, or did both models have the long ones? (With some more "light") _____ I know you're a 1301/1501 expert with a long experience Do you think this page is worth to be kept as reference? -- Last edit: 2015-04-13 00:01:01 |

I'm not really any more of a 1301/1501 expert than some other folk on the site, but that link page looks a good reference. Short bumper is reliable for separating 1300 from 1500 Saloons and Breaks (which is useful for Breaks as both 1300 and 1500 used the 1500 grille). But less solid for splitting 1301 and 1501 - there are short bumper 1301s eg /vehicle_250505-Simca-1301-1967.html , /vehicle_175467-Simca-1301-1967.html , but I would not want to state that it works for all versions and later years. I think we may have several mis-IDs between 1300/1500 and between 1301/1501 but am not confident enough to attempt a blitz on them. As for this one, in UK 1501 Special was sold for longer and in greater numbers than 1301 Special which was fairly rare, so my default is 1501. But I don't know how true this was elsewhere. |

I didn't find any information about the film locations (neither on the IMDb nor in other sites), so the "1501 option" could be indeed a possibility: leaving the model name as "unknown" wouldn't be more accurate... About the rear bumper of the 1301, I found this picture in a French brochure, but without model year: Dynamike said at least once that all 1301 and 1501 have the same bumpers, which seems indeed right for most models. But the links you gave and the brochure excerpt might reopen that debate _____ Just for the record: the page I gave as possible reference has apparently been written by a Dutch guy. But he can't be Dynamike, as he says the 1301 has a shorter rear bumper |

All 3 short bumpers look low spec LS and early detail. Maybe LS only feature and/or 1301?? Or 1501 LS as well?? UK only got GL and upwards '01s so I can't trace info here. |

Wait and see. Someone may know the answer, or we'll find it somewhere sometime. As said in French, tout vient à point à qui sait attendre (direct translation: all things come to him who waits?) |

By the way, isn't it the 1970+ grille, with what seems to be square fog lights? |

It is. |
