Trunklid handle, license mount and taillamps all say 1948-'49 Commodore but that rear window doesn't.
It was not enlarged like that until 1950 (when it was 2-piece) and 1951 (one-piece).

What this most closely resembles is a '51 Pacemaker (note single side trim) with '48/'49 Commodore trunklid and taillamps.

Interesting! Can we get a front view?

I suppose it is the same car used in "Driving Miss Daisy" and in "On the Road".

Not the one from Driving Miss Daisy.
Here is the link: http://pics.imcdb.org/4691/MissDaisy21.jpg

Note different rear window. The window in DMD is correct for '48/'49. The one in the subject photo here is not.

Here's the On the Road link: /vehicle_530068-Hudson-Commodore-1949.html

Again, note the window difference.

After further study of this car, I believe the taillamps just appear to be the Commodore variety owing to distortion.
I am now convinced this is a 1951 Pacemaker and will so list it.

The 1951 Pacemaker was the only model that year which retained the trunk mounted license plate bracket of earlier models.
The trunklid handle is also correct for a '51 Pacemaker.
