dsl ◊ 2015-03-14 18:23	Alpine S1 - main chosen for detail of screen pillar which on S1 had a short chrome stub on door; on S2 this became full height - /vehicle_122209-Sunbeam-Alpine-1961.html - and is just about the only way to separate them. Leeds police used several Sunbeams - Rapiers/Alpines/Tigers - from mid-50. This sequence is a brand new batch of 4 Alpine S1s (launched July 59) - the only legible plate is 8992 UA, although the others look xxxx UA as well, in a series which finished as 9999 UA in Sept 59, so these must be from very early production.
