Moped production commence in the mid-1950s and continued to the end of the 1960s. Initially they were produced with Rex engines, and when Rex closed they fitted Berini Pluvier engines until that firm ceased trading. They then fitted Puch JLO powerplants. Late model Crown and Imperial 2V were almost identical, apart from having different model Puch engines.
