Money is good, but more important is connections and to know right people. Local money in SU wasn't worhless, since foreign ones in large amounts means jail. Lot of traitors get paid with local money. All foreign money inside country should be exchanged for special checks, which was accepted in special shops with foreign merchandise. Anyway with local money or checks you have to live very socializing lifestyle to get good or unusual things, which probably have relation to socialism ![]() PS Alu-chips?
