Does anybody know what kind of vehicle is the blue one at the foreground saying "351 RAMAIR"? ![]() |

It's likely a Ford or Mercury because FoMoCo had 351c.i. V-8s. |

I believe the blue Mustang was a 1971-73 -- Last edit: 2009-03-25 05:24:11 |

"351 RAM AIR" font is wrong on the blue car, not to mention the colors. Most likely a clone. -Kurt -- Last edit: 2012-09-08 17:27:34 |

Just noticed that the stripes on the red Mustang aren't even the originals; they're much too narrow, and they don't say "MACH 1" on the side (even though the rear of the car appears to carry the "MACH 1" badging. What's more, it has a single exhaust pipe - not the requisite duals that you'll find on a proper MACH 1. It is also missing the extra rear bumper guards fitted stock to 1973 Mustangs, and it has '71/72 taillights without black paint inserts. I'm 100% sure this is a '71/72 Mustang painted up to look like a '73. Hence: 1971/72 Mustang Sportsroof (as 1973 Mustang Mach 1). -Kurt -- Last edit: 2012-09-22 19:25:38 |

I'm not buying that either of these are Mach 1s. They might be under all the incorrect decals and such, but given that neither are correctly restored, I'd classify both as Mach 1 clones (until proven otherwise). -Kurt |

The red one is likely this one /vehicle_477412-Ford-Mustang-63D-1971.html The blue/white one could be this one /vehicle_477497-Ford-Mustang-63D-1973.html Both were in the UK at the same time, can't have been that many Mach 1 clones there then. |
