Its body had roots in the IMOSA-DKW F 1000 van(styled by Fissore)of 1963(of which was an evolution that retains the old style's line, with M-B diesel engines);that illustrated was a early '80s version, one of latest updated, lasted until 1986 and then replaced by a boxy-styled MB 100-140-180 small vans

I am not sure if this really is an MB 100, The rear look different in my opinion...

I think so too, it looks too different from a MB 100 see this: http://www.ottomotor.net/autot/mb100_oik.jpg
Althought the rear is not shown very well on this picture, you can see the mercedes has a straight line, whereas the save has some curves at the rearside....

Thank you for clearing that up carchasesfanatic! It is a completly different version from the other one. Was this a Spanish design build under license by Mercedes?

So originally a German Auto-Union F 1000, with an Italian body design (Fissore), built in Spain by the local Auto-Union factory (IMOSA) and fitted with a Mercedes diesel engine ;)
