According to a book I have /vehicle.php?id=546845 , and also according to http://www.rootes-chrysler.co.uk/car-history/spacevan.html Renault became in charge of the commercial part (over 3.5 tonnes) of the Roots company from January 1, 1981. It was branded Dodge-Renault until 1987, from which is was branded Renault, only.
D plate means August 1, 1986 until July 31, 1987 Link to "en.wikipedia.org" , thus a late Dodge-Renault.

The grille confirms this as a 1982-87 Dodge 100 series 'Commando 2' (Talbot UK, PSA-Renault joint venture).

Renault owned the company outright from 1984 but Dodge brand remained until 1987.
