 It's definitely not a 1986 model, because it has an "Aerostar" badge on the tailgate. So it would at least be a 1988, or maybe newer in case there's any trim differences.

Agree. At least an '88. I have not seen a 1986-1991 bumper vs. a 1992-1997 bumper to tell the difference.
