carmaker1 ◊ 2010-02-12 05:13	This is a certainly a 1995-96 facelift as the lettering is a lesser amount. Four characters on the lid show that, as the 1992-93 US models had 5-6 characters. 1994-1999 all 3 designs of the W140 had 4. This would be a 1995-96 S420/S500 model.

This is a certainly a 1995-96 facelift as the lettering is a lesser amount. Four characters on the lid show that, as the 1992-93 US models had 5-6 characters. 1994-1999 all 3 designs of the W140 had 4. This would be a 1995-96 S420/S500 model.
