The 125¼"/3.18 m wheelbase would give this truck a FC-102 code if it has a ½-ton payload, FC-152 with a ¾-ton one. If sure of the FC-101 chassis code, then the entire identification should be 1947 GMC New Design 100* [FC-101]. But I'm not sure that we can assert anything about wheelbase nor payload with what can be seen in these pictures, so shouldn't we just say ⇒ 1947 GMC New Design (with nothing more)*?
