1946+ Bentley Mk VI Standard Steel Saloon. The car is missing the centre driving lamp, and the winged "B" from atop the radiator dummy cap, and appears to be in somewhat well used condition. The nearside bonnet locking handle is incorrectly fitted, or has been left undone. Those amongst us who try to date post war Bentleys by looking at the presence or otherwise of headlamp spiders may care to ponder upon this car, which should have them but hasn't, probably due to being retrofitted with sealed beam units that dip to the right and emit yellow light. -- Last edit: 2014-06-30 13:57:35 |

There is an Austin Sheerline in thumbs #2 & 3. I think it has Marchal 12" units. |

I have looked very hard at thumbs 2 and 3 above and am unable to see an Austin Sheerline, is there a different page? -- Last edit: 2014-06-30 17:02:17 |

You succeeded! It's an interesting comparison between the two cars. The styling of the Sheerline looks decidedly lumpy beside the Bentley, indeed Leonard Lord was not happy with it, and sacked the stylist responsible. Austin used an engine from its truck and coach chassis, and managed to hit the road for about half the price of the Bentley, so it can't have been a bad car, ask any undertaker! -- Last edit: 2014-06-30 21:51:49 |

It's an export model with the big overriders. |
