Matchbox toys made an Aveling Porter in their Yesteryear series in the 60s. Could that be an A-P??

Aveling & Porter, Rochester, Kent only ever made steam powered road rollers until their merger with Barford & Perkins, when they also made petrol and diesel rollers as here.

Aveling-Barford is the most likely make becuase their production of road rollers was greater than the combined output of all the other manufacturers.

Makers of road rollers not powered by steam were
Barford & Perkins,
Aveling-Barford Ltd. from 1934 (Aveling & Porter / Barford & Perkins merger)
John Fowler & Co. Ltd.
Marshall, Sons & Co. Ltd.
Thomas Green & Son Ltd.
Wallis & Steevens Ltd.
Stothert & Pitt.

By its size and the rather small rear wheels its likely to be a 6 or 7 Ton road roller.

By the way, that old Humber is more than a bit down at the bows.

Looks like a Bentley MkVI in the background.
