The Lanchester in the series is a 1929 23 hp. It is fitted with a Corsica 2 door 4 seat touring body which was originally destined for a Bentley but was used on the Lanchester when the original (Lanchester built) body was tranfered to a new Lanchester by the original owner. The vehicle is fitted with 6 cylinder 3500cc engine with overhead camshaft (driven by worm gear),dual ignition (magneto and coil) and cross flow head, the gearbox is a conventional 4 speed of particularly robust Lanchester design. The chassis has four wheel brakes and Lanchester's own unique suspension design. The vehicle is maintained and still in use but has had a new hood fitted |
