Trying to see if Lana Morris is in this still. Moto Rumi, not dissimilar to the incomplete example I rescued from Croydon tip around 1967. Cleaned it up, made a few shillings. More interesting machine than the LD next to it, with quite impressive bhp/litre for its day. The marque enjoyed some racing success, eg. with bikes and with its Bol d'or model. I remember overhearing a spectator studying his programme at Brands: 'Moto Rumi? I thought that was a scoo'er.' |
