Driven by the nuns ![]() ![]() in a very unnunnish fashion. I tried to get a legible capture of the window sticker, but failed. ![]() ![]() ![]() MAR 308D was genuine Jan 66 plate, but nothing now on check sites. As mongrels go, this is a real dog's dinner. Mk1 Morris grille and bootlid, Mk2 rear lights, Mk1/2 doors, Mk3 bonnet badge and colour. So I'll go by the plate date and run away quickly. |

The only businesses of that name currently in operation seem to be in Detroit, the UAE and Sri Lanka. Go figure. |

![]() Four Four Motors (or Four & Four, Four x Four ??) ...... Telephone: 021 471 5619 (or similar) - a Birmingham number - would now be 0121 etc. |

The common nun-cars in West Germany in the 70ies were yellow DAF 55. As I've heard (not only once) from people, older than me. There were rumours, that there had been a kind of fleet-agreeement between the DAF B.V. and the German (at least Rhenisch) Catholic Church. -- Last edit: 2013-12-01 00:20:25 |

By us (in Italy) nuns preferred at the beginning the Odd Fiat 600 Multipla. Even VW Bullis were among their favorite vehicles, not to forget Citroën Ami 8 Break. Until a few years ago i often met in Turin some nuns inside a very beautifully kept late (1972-73) Opel Kadett (B) Caravan in "Ziegelrot", a sort of orange-red. I hope and believe it still exists as its conditions were as new. |
