Nice another 'Display Van'. Note the extra little window between the passenger door and the cargo doors. I cannot find any literature supporting this was an accessory item at the dealership. Display Vans had panels on the left (driver's side) and all windows on the right (passenger's side). Neat little configuration Ford had in the 60s. |

Display Van appeared MY1963, didn't they, matching the darker (amber) indicator That window, isn't that just a part of Display Van configuration? (and others, equipped with windows) -- Last edit: 2019-05-01 17:49:46 |

Yes you are correct. I cannot find any evidence they came before 1963 either. Here are the 1961 & 1962 brochures that I could find without any mention of the display van: 1961 Econoline: Link to "paintref.com" Link to "paintref.com" 1961 Econoline Station Bus: Link to "paintref.com" Link to "paintref.com" 1962 Econoline: https://www.xr793.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/1962-Ford-Trucks-1.pdf 1962 Falcon: https://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/ford/fal6/fal6.html 1963: Econoline: https://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/ford/63eco/63eco.html 1963 Falcon: https://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/ford/63fal/bilder/3.jpg |
