M3A3 Light Tank Stuart chassis R/C recovery -- Last edit: 2013-02-17 05:28:11 |

The side armour is vertical so the chassis is from an M5A1 not an M3A3 which had sloped side armour. /vehicles_make-American+Car+%26+Foundry_model-M5+A1+%27Stuart%27.html There was a turretless version of an M5A1 ARV built which was called a T8E1, but that is not on the database. http://www.steeldragons.net/T8E1one.html As for the contraption on the front, it is pretty non-standard so it is either "made for movie" or an experimental bridge layer I would put it as either an M5A1 Bridge Layer or T8E1 Bridge Layer |

The T8E1 was only ever a prototype. Practically identical vehicles were field-modified during WW2 called Stuart Recce's, however this is neither. It's just an M5 Stuart with the turret removed. |
