Just curious: How do you know it's a 1976 model? The 240 series were introduced as 1975 model year at the autumn of 1974. Not many things differ a DL from a GL (I imagine the L wasn't sold in the U.S. because of demands on exhausts) making it virtually impossible (for me) to tell. As far as I can remember it was possible to order a GL without metallic paint, although many indeed were sold as such. The badge look the same on DL and GL from a distance. The chromed wheel embellishers are very easy to swap. |
