Yes fairly sure its a 'Unit' possibly a ' 357 ' model (first on IMCD ), excavator/crane fitted with face shovel rig. Made by the Unit Crane and Shovel Corporation of Milwaukee Wisconsin Heres a Unit crane- http://www.tractorparts.com/images/sunset/unitcrane1.jpg History of company - http://www.constructioncollector.com/editorial-Unit.html -- Last edit: 2010-04-26 12:43:19 |

The track mounted equivalent to the UNIT 357, whether used as a crane, hoe, or shovel, was designated as a UNIT 514. So Unit 514 I guess from the description in http://www.constructioncollector.com/editorial-Unit.html |

Well spotted Sunbar . They were also made under licence in the UK by Neal's Cranes and called imaginatively Neal Unit cranes . Link to "209.85.129.132" -- Last edit: 2010-04-26 14:23:50 |
