This is either a 68 or 69 El Camino. The 68-72 El Caminos had the exact same body. You can tell this is 68 or 69 though because there's a space between the taillights and the tailgate. On the 70-72 El Caminos the taillights butted up against the tailgate. It's impossible to tell if it's 68 or 69 though without seeing the grill. |

They look like panels, mounted behind the lights, to avoid, that the drivers are blinded by the sunlight (it's upwards the hill). Quite big in this case, but not not uncommon. The normal size is visble in the foreground. |

Here in NYC, they use those in shopping districts, especially ones with bus lanes. They are integrated inside the housing (the yellow base is sometimes seen, other times the panel is grey with everything else.) -- Last edit: 2013-02-22 18:45:20 |
