Leo's red Vette. Also seen in episode 1.04:

Although it's a car owned by one of the main characters, it is mentioned many times and plays a significant role in identifying him, we cannot see it actually driven, just hear once or twice. Therefore I think it deserves only one star.

The one in the movie is a couple years newer. Different wheels and rear styling. '88 1st year for wheels in main pic? Check out the short-lived fad of having only one strap of overalls fastened.

I don't think the year 1988 is correct for the 1st year of the wheels in main picture.

«1990, the 1991 ZR1 and 1991 base model received updates to bodywork, interior, and wheels.»
From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Corvette_%28C4%29?wprov=sfla1

So the model year should be 1991 for the sawblade style wheels which ended the line for the salad spinner style wheels.

can't be a 1991 because it was the facelift year
those wheels were offered in option as part of a handling package Link to "oldcarbrochures.org"

Thank you! I had the wheel designs mixed up.

You were partially right; '90 for these wheels.

^ not quite: the wheels you linked were fitted since 1988 like you said, but these slightly different wheels with exposed lugs were fitted for 1990.
