I have tried searching high and low for this van ...in the end I contacted Mr.Les Bagley of the Divco van site http://www.divco.org/ ..who is not sure about this ...but Thanks to him... has steered me in the direction of two other makers... 1/ Pak-Age-Car ...which i've found to have connections with Diamond-T, Stutz & Auburn ..only one pic found on the web.. ![[Image: 1939diamondtpakagecaruc2.4341.jpg]](http://pics.imcdb.org/0is237/1939diamondtpakagecaruc2.4341.jpg) 2/ Thorne Gas Electric ... which i've found nothing of.! ..Any of our contributors have any info on these makes.?? -- Last edit: 2006-09-13 02:25:02 |

I have received another message from Les (www.divco.org/) ...as follows:- Hi Again Steve.. I think the answer to your question is that it's a Diamond T "Pak-Age-Car." See the attached page with a photo of one our members had at our convention in Illinois last year. It's in about the middle of the page, right column. White. Les ..the picture he enclosed is the same white van as I had previously posted above. It doesn't look exactly the same (the white van is 1939) ...but it is similar ...so until anyone can say differently ...I will name it as the Diamond-T Pak-Age-Car (possibly a later post-war model.?) -- Last edit: 2006-09-14 00:44:19 |
