The Dodge Coronet behind it is most likely a real police vehicle. The Ford is also an better equipped LTD with police type "poverty wheel covers". If it was a real police car it would have been a Galaxie or a Custom. Can you spot the cornering lights, LTD badge, and the extra trim on this car?

They no longer had Galaxies in 1975, though. 1974 was the last model year.
