264? Behind it a Chevette and a Mitsubishi Space Wagon. Right a Jetta II and a Chevrolet. |

The "Mitsubishi Space Wagon" is actually a 1984-85 Honda Civic Wagovan. |

I can't see how this can be anything else than a 264. That is chromed grill, reflective surface beneath the head lamps, chrome around the door handles, wheel arches and beneath the doors. Also chromed wheel embellishers and, possible, metallic paint. |

Except considering where it is and the year. Looks like an early 80's GL, GLE or Diesel? |

I thought all Volvos sold in the US during the 80's were diesel? |

No, the 200-series had 4 and 6-cylinder gas engines, a 4-cylinder Turbo plus the 2.4L Diesel. The 6-cylinder was discontinued after 1982 when they introduced the 760 in the market. Diesels were sold 1980-1985, but I think they used the full chrome grille of the GL/GLE. |

Huh. All of the surviving 80s Volvos in my area are all diesel, must have thrown me off. |
