With what seems to be the short 116"/2.95 m wheelbase of a ½-ton 3100 model (i.e. without the 2nd vertical reinforcement bar in front of the rear wheel arch). Which means it was a 3104 model in Chevrolet internal code. But Stepside has been used only from 1958 onward, so that complement should not be given to that truck. ⇒ 1954 Chevrolet Advance-Design 3100 [3104] (without Stepside)

I forgot that the 2nd vertical reinforcement bar disappeared with the 1954+ flat bed border... Maybe should we just identify it as a ⇒ 1954 Chevrolet Advance-Design? (without anything more)
