Could it be a Humvee lookalike kit car? Or a real one that's been reconditioned or upgraded? |

I noticed you can see the background trough the front grill:![]() The doors are also very thin and they look like they are about to fall apart. Could be made for movie/custom made? |

Looked up a few Hummer inspired cars but cannot find one that matches exactly with the front. The front looks to me like it has come from one of those American mailvans. |

The only Hummer wannabe I can find with that grille and square headlights is the T-Rex by Jurassic Trucks (all signs indicate they are no longer in business), but none of the other details match: http://img.orbitbid.com/2011/04/01/P3310098.JPG I was about to give up and admit defeat when I found this. It's the exact car: http://www.tomtownsend-toyland.com/toyland/Hummer_1.htm Described as "a fully functional replica built on a Chevy chassis especially for use in films. It is full scale but lighter to transport, cheaper to maintain and therefore cheaper to rent." No information on who exactly made it. List as Custom Made Humvee, maybe? -- Last edit: 2011-09-29 06:16:05 |
