SixtiesSwing ◊ 2023-09-12 20:02	The best part of this movie is the motorcycle chase, and the Renault 5 Turbo was an ideal choice! This film and 1983 competitor official Bond canon Octopussy with the equally unique showcasing of the Alfa-Romeo GTV feature great chases. Both are rather unexpected vehicles, and the stunt drivers perform some amazing skills. The twisting roads around Nice makes a perfect challenge for 007 and his escaping prey. The Renault just sticks like superglue to the road. In the US, I only knew of the 5 Turbo from model Majorette and Corgi models, but wasn't surprised by its capabilities. Would have made an amazing halo car for the US, but not sure that many in the general public could handle such a machine during the malaise era, or get it insured.
