Powerful businessmen don't really ride around in these, certainly not in the UK, these are mostly used for proms, hen nights and general piss-ups in town. Oh, and you couldn't drive around with a numberplate like that without getting pulled over (or displaying a real UK plate somewhere on the car, which this one doesn't remotely resemble) -- Last edit: 2011-06-04 00:28:10 |

What does "hen nights" and "piss-ups" mean? Although I’m almost sure they can’t be good. |

Hen Nights = Women's parties before they get married. Female counterpoint of a stag do. Piss Ups = Evenings involving copious amounts of drinking alcohol. -- Last edit: 2011-06-04 00:46:37 |

A hen night is what you call a bacherolette party. -- Last edit: 2011-06-04 00:47:08 |

Over here getting "pissed" means getting drunk, although we still use the phrase "pissed off" in the same way Americans do - ie. getting angry, but "pissed" on its own means "drunk" instead of a shorthand for "pissed off". I don't disapprove of these activities, I'm just saying how stretch limos are no longer just for VIPs. -- Last edit: 2011-06-04 01:54:13 |
