From what little I can see, it looks like a Massey-Ferguson.

There's a nameplate attached to the side of the tractor that reads "Oliver".

There was indeed an US company which produced farm equipment and which was named Oliver, but their designs looked a bit different: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver_Farm_Equipment_Company

The last Olivers produced ( under White ownership) were badge-engineered Fiats (e.g. the one in Bruno's link) and look quite different from this one. "Oliver unknown" until we ID the model, I suggest?

Bruno - I think you are right, this is an Oliver 1250, like in your link; http://www.importtractorparts.net/olivertractors.html (Part I) makes it easier to identify.

Okay, so that closer thumbnail leaves no doubt this is an Oliver.

I have looked at the Olivers again, and am now convinced it must be a 1250 - any reason for it not being one?
