Yes, Consul [EOTA]. Painted number-plate light housing.

This is not a Zephyr but a Consul because of the small distance between the wheel arch and the door. Look here for a Zephyr http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ford_Zephyr_Six_1952_sideb.jpg . Also because of the chrome stretching all the way from front to rear I'd say it's a 1954+.

I insist this is not a Zephyr [EOTTA] but a Consul [EOTA]. The reason why is that the Consul has a stright four cylinder engine while the Zephyr has a stright six cylinder engine, and because the six cylinder engine is longer than the four cylinder engine the Zephyr has a longer front end. From a side view picture, as above, this can be seen on the distance between the front wheel arch and the front door. Please compare this Consul http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:195X_Ford_Consul_CRP961.jpg?uselang=sv (a car very much like one I've got) with this Zephyr http://picasaweb.google.com/RedSimon/BritishCarsSides#5023716610460618738 .

Also, as this has a chrome strip stretching all the way from the front wing to the rear wing this is a 1954+, as Consuls dating from 1951 just had a short strip on the front wing.
