The real registration (as seen before Rodney buys it for Del) is L320JLH, but infuriatingly it doesn't appear on the DVLA site. I actually once saw this for sale on the internet, it might have been on ebay, but I can't find it now. I can never tell the difference between a Silver Spirit and a Silver Spur.

Not a Silver Spur but an early Silver Spirit (around 1985)

The difference bewteen a Spirit and the Spur is just the wheelbase lenght. One must have a sharp eye to see whethter the rear door is slightly longer (10 cm) or not. Very early Silver Spurs did have an everflex roof as an standard as well as an sligtly smaller rear window, they did have wheel discs as known from the Camargue. Later examples as this one did no longer have an everflex roof, but remaind to have other wheeldiscs: the ones seen here are from the Spirit and are indicating together with the standard length of the rear doors that it can only a Silver Spirit. The modelyear can be distinguished in this case by the positon of the front number plates (now on the bumper instead of being below) and the antenna which is now placed on the rear fender insted of the front fender.

The above mentioned registration number "L320JLH" can't be the original one for this very car as she dates from 1993 (=L), what is much later than the car itself was built.

Not a Silver Spirit II, just "Silver Spirit"

In the episode it is supposed to be newish, Rodney buys it for Del from Boycie's showroom for about £70,000 (I can't remember the exact price but it was in that region), if it was an 1985 car it would have cost about a third of that.

My own one had a price of 45.094,46 Pounds (new, not a used car) in June 1981 at Lex Mead of Manchester
