Maybe this was a very early 1.8 example given to Renault's italian branch for valutation :think: BW FB was a Roma issue and a part of that batch seems to have been used on cars registered by Renault of Italy, between them some Clio IIb given to the press.

Moreover, I don't understand the choice of adding this engine to the range: it has got barely the same power output of the 1.6 and only a slightly higher torque :think: Differently by the version mounted on the Laguna, which fits better between the 1.6 and 2.0 options. Seems indeed that they didn't sell many on the Scénic
