It looks like the only Ram 1500 available in this color scheme is the 1500 Outdoorsman. http://www.ramtrucks.com/en/2011/outdoorsman/ I guess Outdoorsman would be the trim...or is it supposed to be part of the model name? Chrysler made it too confusing with the new names... |

It seems like the trim. Also, interesting that the page refers to it as a "Crew Cab." I suppose they are no longer known as "Quad Cabs." |

There is still the Quad Cab. Quad Cabs have short rear doors, while the new Crew Cabs get long rear doors. |

Ahh I see. Thanks for clearing that up! |

The Outdoorsman is basically the TRX trim renamed. It is available with part-time four-wheel drive with two-speed dual range transfer case. 4x4 recovery points and skid plate protection group are standard with the 4x4 system. Anti-Spin limited-slip rear differential with 3.92 gearing (optional on other trims) is also included with hill start assist (HSA) and the electronic traction control system. The Ram 1500’s ABS/electronic traction control gives me pause, as I’m not sure if it’s programmed (setup) for off road use, like the Ford F-150. |
