Perhaps it's an MDA replica, like in Die Another Day. /vehicle_144-MDA-GT-40.html |

There are a few companies that make GT40 replicas. Superformance and CAV are two that spring to mind. |

It's a replica. A real one is way to rare and expensive to use. In the film however, it's said to be a real one. |

It looks like they just took a new Ford GT and are calling it the GT-40. Gt-40's were the ones that raced at the Le Mans races back in the 60's and the regular GT's are just ones made in the mid 2000's for people to drive on the street, right? |

The Ford GT40 MkIII was a limited production (only 7 we're made) run of road going GT40's. Other then that approximatly 60 of the +/- 100 MkI Race version we're refitted into road going cars by Wyer Ltd. That would mean about 67 of the original road going GT40's exsisted. It is way to rare and to expensive to be used and abused as it was in the movie. This can only be a replica, from which exact firm I can't tell. Plus, it looks like it has a shorter wheelbase then the original. |

This one is right hand drive, if that helps narrow down the manufacturer. |

No idea why it's RHD (maybe accuracy if all the real ones were?) but I've found the manufacturer: http://www.race-car-replicas.com/ Called an RCR-40: http://www.race-car-replicas.com/rcr40.html -- Last edit: 2011-10-12 15:18:51 |

It's easy to fell a circa 2006 Ford GT from a GT 40...old or replica. The new Ford has fully opening windows, the older cars/replicas have fixed windows with small opening frames as you can see in the photo. The new Fords have side marker lights. Also, to the best of my knowledge, the Ford GTs (Ford could not call them GT 40s for trademark reasons) were all left hand drive. A friend has a stunning CAV GT 40 replica, it's both RHD and right hand shift, just like the original race cars. |

Wasn't that a JDM Model or modified? |

the link says clearly it was a built replica, therefore , it can't be a 1965 |
