It´s an A-Klasse Coupé! Chassis code is C169! 2005+ Why are these comments about the 3-door A-Klasse always deleted again? |

Because are bullshits! There's not any A-Klasse coupé, just 3 and 5 doors versions. Please seriously stop. |

The official name of the 3-door A-Klasse was A-Klasse Coupé. |

@Neon: sorry, but m.pfaffeneder is right. Mercedes Benz has named and offered the two-door version of the A-Klasse (after the facelift. There was no two-door of the first series) indeed as "Coupé". Randomly I'm a bit familar with this model, as my parents-in-law have bought an A-Klasse 3 weeks ago, after the engine of their Astra G was bursted ![]() The A-Klasse was planned and created as a Mercedes for young people, as a Golf-competitor - but it became, involutarily by Mercedes Benz, an old-people-car. High seat-position, very lucid, short and narrow enough for drivers who have problems with their garage-size (resp. with their bad eyes), so it fits perfectly to them. My parents have a 2003 A 210, too, also other seniors in my family or the neighbourhood. But no Teenie- or Twen-driver. |

At max we could add "coupé" in the extra info because of market choises (![]() Also the Fiat Stilo in 3 and 5 door have a different shape, but both have the same chassis code and are under the same class ![]() |

@Neon: Of course, the A-Klasse Coupé is a hatchback. But the fact is, that the chassis code of this special 3-door A-Klasse is C169. |

If it was named "A-Klasse Coupé" we could list it as such, but on the mercedes.de website it was listed as 3-Türig and 5-Türig, not as coupé ![]() I do not see a problem in having it listed with "Coupé" in the model name despite it is in the hatchback category; in the same way the Rover P5b Coupé is listed as a sedan, the Mercedes C Sportcoupé or VW Polo MkII Coupé are listed as hatchback. The CLS is a four-door sedan for us, but it still has a coupé chassis code, so why not the three-door A-Klasse? ![]() |

On the mercedes.de website is only the 5-door A-Klasse. The production of the A-Klasse Coupé ended in July 2010 ![]() But I agree with you. -- Last edit: 2011-07-28 16:28:29 |

I said "was", not "is" ![]() (I checked with web.archive.org) |

Oh sorry ![]() |

2005+ A170 "Classic" due to 16" alloys, front fog lights, and black door handles and mirrors. A150s had 15" steel wheels and no front fog lights, and were very rare in Australia because they weren't available with an automatic transmission (nor 5-door body style or Elegance trim level). -- Last edit: 2015-04-16 23:46:08 |
