Freightliner never released the FLD in Australia. This is the FLC. They were released here in the '80s and still have a reputation as a solid workhorse. Probably more so than the more recent Freightliners. Still a fairly common sight on the roads. |

Can't believe this truck has an automatic transmission. I take it that it's on of Allison's 4700 push button series. I hate autos in trucks. |

all filmed in South Australia and the truck was bought from jamieson truck sales in parafield gardens on port wakefield road which is just up the road from where i live |

FLC was introduced in Australia in 1989 and marked the introduction of the Freightliner brand into Australia. Initially it was assembled locally, but was fully imported after 1995. |
