At this point in time, the Granada was simply a "luxury" version of the Fairmont. Everything from the A-pillar back is the same as on the Fairmont. The only difference between the two is the front end styling. |

Remember that the Granada name was first used by Ford in Europe as a full-sized 4-door sedan and a station wagon in 1972. The name was used by the German subsidiary starting that year, until it was replaced by the Scorpio in '85. But the UK counterpart used it until the late 90's, even it used the Scorpio bodyline. |

The U.S. version of the Granada which was produced from 1975 to 1983 was built in an assembly plant in NJ, alongside the Versailles and the Monarch, its conuterparts from Lincoln and Mercury. |

^None of that is true. First off there is no such thing as a U.S. 1983 Ford Granada. Second all Versailles were made in Wayne Michigan; along with most Monarchs and Granadas. Lastly the Mahwah Assembly that did produce Granadas and Monarchs closed in 1980. |
