![]() All we need to know is, what vans 'Pickford's were using in 1935/36? (Bedford?) -- Last edit: 2010-03-12 10:36:06 |

That's too long ago even for me The only 30s Pickfords van I found was a 1932 Leyland Badger, and this isn't one because they were bonneted. After the war they used O-type Bedfords and Guy Vixens on removals. |

Here's that Leyland badger (due to the angle of the movie pictures, we can't see if it has a bonnet?) http://www.leylandsociety.co.uk/publications/torque/t039centre_large.jpg (link updated) -- Last edit: 2015-07-08 17:26:49 (Sunbar) |

I think this is smaller than the Badger, and if it was bonneted we'd see more of the front wheel and wing. Maybe Guy Otter, 1934+? |

Or Bedford is a contender also... Agreed, its impossible to say if it has a bonnet from the little seen and the body width. Pickfords - London branch here - small in size 2-3 tonner probably. The CM Archive mentions the delivery to Pickfords, Ltd. of the 1,500th Bedford vehicle purchased by that company up to June 1939. -- Last edit: 2015-07-08 13:58:24 |
