So "Coupe DeVille" or is a "DeVille" in its coupé version?

According to Michael Madsen, who actually owned this car, it was a '65 Coupe de Ville.

What is the difference between a DeVille coupe and a Coupe de Ville?

Mr Blonde has caught himself a prisoner:

You could probably fit 3 cops in that trunk.

A little behind-the-scenes story: Actor Kirk Baltz, who played Officer Marvin Nash, wanted to do a bit of method preparation so he asked Michael Madsen (Mr Blonde) to drive him around in the Cadillac (Madsen owned the same car used in the film) with him in the trunk, so he did, he drove through some bumpy alleyways then went to a Taco-Bell drive-thru for a taco and a coke (this is why Mr Blonde has a soft drink with him when he appears at the warehouse), and when he got finally back, he opened the trunk to find a rather dishevelled and fed-up actor inside.

On top of that, on the DVD interviews Michael Madsen said Kirk Baltz was crying a little when he let him out of the trunk, although Baltz in his own interview denied it. :D

He said he was all sweaty and pissed-off, there was stuff in the trunk that was battering him and he had kept hammering on the floor, yelling at him while he was taking him on his bumpy ride.

Lol, Madsen said he had to turn up the radio so the people at Taco Bell couldn't hear the banging and yelling!

Perhaps 1965 was the year it was made, but 1966 is the model year.

Exact. When you refer to a car as a 1966 Cadillac, you mean model year 1966, yet it may have been built in late 1965. This one has 1966 wheelcovers.

Madsen tried to sell the car on eBay recently, but didn't get as much as he wanted (didn't reach reserve price) so now I think I heard him on an Opie & Anthony interview that he was donating (or selling?) it to one of those Hollywood car charity auction things.

its a 1966 CDV look at the cornering lamps. A 65 would have lots of chrome trim around the light. A 66 has all bodywork. Last year a company made a model dicast 65 CDV and claimed it was the car from Resivor dogs. Its not the same exact car. little diffrences can be seen from the trained eye.

Deville was the convertible version. Sedan Deville was the four door and Coupe Deville was the two door hardtop.

Starting in the 9th generation (94-99) the Sedan Deville was the only one left (convertible dropped after 1970, coupe dropped after 1993) and was simply Deville.

yes Its a 66. The front fenders w/ the marker light is the giveaway. I have a 65 and the markers are in the front bumper.
