I don't know if Mexican continues to use 1978 rear end with 1979 front end? Could this be VAM Concord as described at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMC_Concord#Other_markets  |

VAM American Wagon was the name used in Mexico, although I don't know about the mismatched front and rear. |
